Ten Years

Rose aired ten years ago today, ushering in a new era of Doctor Who.

Where were you that evening? I was in the Sports Bar at the University of Edinburgh’s Teviot union, watching it on a big screen with fifty or so other Conpulsion attendees.

I remember seeing this on a big billboard and thinking "this could work..."
Peter Capaldi on watching Rose.

SFX quoting lots of interviews with lots of people involved.

It’s been quite a ride since then, hasn’t it?

    1. It's been quite a ride offscreen too!

    2. ayup! I'd succumbed to temptation and downloaded the leaked episode, so I was able to watch the crowd reaction as much as the episode itself. I remember being delighted to see everyone really getting into it.

  2. I was avoiding the usual online haunts and waiting for its eventual airing on CBC, as I recall.

    1. It's always fun dodging spoilers across national lines. I have to avoid Twitter on Tuesday nights because there's so much Agents of SHIELD. (Partially my fault for following Clark Gregg...)

    2. And now we have same-day airings on new Doctor Who in the US and the UK! I don't think any fan prior to the revival could have conceived of such a thing actually happening.
