Duke Kahanamoku

Today is the 125th birthday of Duke Kahanamoku, the Big Kahuna of modern surfing among his many other achievements, a world record breaking and gold medal winning swimmer who helped introduce the sport in the US and around the world, as well as saving lives at sea with his skills. He would make a surprising addition to a 1920s or 30s adventure.
