Homo Aqua
An interesting slow start, could be a prologue to the kind of thing the Doctor deals with in a two-parter.
(Also Barclay notes meeting the Doctor, for a few seconds, and being amazed.)
Plastic Apocalypse
Good speech. Kate should know people can rise to the occasion without the Doctor there to help.
But also a twisting of words. The Sea side (sorry) is naturally sympathetic here but they aren’t playing fair.
(Also Kate reflects how nice it would be to have the Doctor here.)
The Deep
I was starting to think they’d spend the whole episode in the diving bell.
Oh no
The Witch Of The Waterfall
Nice to see the leads getting to do something other than be nervous and grim.
Bit disappointed that the Witch of the Waterfall is only a brief notion rather than a character.
And this may be childish of me, but I am hoping that at some point in The War Between The Land And The Sea we get some... war.
I know plenty of wars are like this, a few displays of power and some guerilla action around the diplomacy. But I was expecting laser tridents and land mecha and stuff. Maybe next week.
The End Of The War
Halfway through I was worried we were going to get no real end, so sort of a relief. Kate at her worst and her best. And a Bowie cover.
