The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe

300th post. Well, there you go.

Hmm.

Fun, but not a classic.

Do Not Open Till Christmas

So, massive space battleship gets blown up mid-threat (which was my favourite bit in retrospect) and the Doctor escapes and lands in 1938, is helped by Madge Arwell, and says he’ll grant her a wish. Three years later he answers, albeit in a very roundabout way where he gets her kids in trouble (because they failed to heed the warning above) and doesn’t really help out much, just explains what’s going on.

Nice touches all round, which I won’t spoil, but the straightforwardness of the story meant it all felt rather light.

And not enough Bill Bailey.

And the autumn series means no trailer after. Aw. (Although we did get two trailers for Sherlock. I was therefore expecting a third.)
