Loved the fakeout. Very cheeky, and Pearl Mackie totally sold it.
Musical references to This Is Gallifrey for Missy (though I associate it more with Gallifrey and its loss than the Master in particular) as well as cues from I Am The Doctor for the plan. Nice to underscore a previous “the monster has taken over the world and suppressed resistance with psychic power” episode.
