Since it turned out she didn't have one, I did a writeup for Izzy, the Eighth Doctor's longest-running companion.

And I had to do one for Destrii as well. Which is what really took the time.

On seeing the Daleks for the first time, Fire And Brimstone

Isabelle Sinclair, or Izzy Somebody, was 17 when she met the Eighth Doctor during one of several alien incursions into the otherwise sleepy English village of Stockbridge. Estranged from her adopted parents Les and Sandra and eager for escape, she jumped at the chance to travel in the TARDIS.

This is Izzy as a starting character.


Izzy Sinclair

Appearance: Late teens, petite, dark brown hair with bleach blonde streaks in her fringe.
(Originally modelled on Louise Wener, later drawn more like Luisa Bradshaw-White and ultimately played in Big Finish's The Company of Friends by Jemima Rooper)

Personal Goal: Let's see what's out there...

Personality: A self-declared geek, outgoing when engaged with a subject, generally open and friendly but shy about her feelings.

Background: Adopted at an early age, raised in the small English town of Stockbridge, keen to escape in her imagination and latterly in real life.

IZZY AS DESTRIIANATOS

During Izzy's travels with the Doctor, she met Destrii, an amphibious mutant on the run - who on finding a mind-swapping device decided that Izzy's body would be a great place to hide. The Doctor saw through the body-snatcher's ruse, rescued Izzy and tried to help her adjust to her new form when her own body was apparently destroyed...

Some of these adjustments reflect her experience travelling, but most come from her new body.

Appearance: Lithe amphibious mutant with sharp teeth and nails, large eyes and fish-scale skin.

Personal Goal: To find a way to deal with this

Personality: Morose much of the time, afraid of herself.

Background: Her body stolen and apparently destroyed, she finds herself trapped in an amphibious mutant form.

Ophidius

Heir to the throne of Oblivion, a world ruined by biological and psychic warfare, Destrii was raised for a life of duty, violence and the resentment of her mother, Matriax Scalamanthia. Her only escape was in adventures with her roguish uncle Jodafra and the Earth entertainment broadcasts he showed her on his computers. This has left her with a rather skewed view of the universe, and particularly Earth.

This is Destrii as a starting character when she joins the Eighth Doctor, acquiring a holographic transmitter to pass as human.


Destriianatos

Appearance: Lithe amphibious mutant with sharp teeth and nails, large eyes and fish-scale skin. And proud of it!

Personal Goal: To have a good time, all the time.

Personality: Impulsive, childish, conceited, rebellious, but able to care when she sees the helpless being threatened.

Background: The princess of a ruined world, raised to fight but dreaming of escape.

Uroboros

Trying to escape her fate, Destrii used a psychic device to steal Izzy’s body and escape. Presumed dead after an attack by a vengeful alien, she turned up alive months later, having spent time living rough and working out.

Her composite stats make her slightly better than her starting-character self.

Appearance: Late teens, petite but athletic, dark brown hair with bleach blonde streaks in her fringe.

Personal Goal: To stay one step ahead of those chasing her.

Personality: Impulsive, childish, conceited, rebellious, but able to care when she sees the helpless being threatened.

Background: The princess of a ruined world, raised to fight but dreaming of escape. Currently hiding out in the body of Izzy, a human.
