Journey To The Centre Of The Tardis

Happy birthday Jenna-Louise Coleman!

No, I have no idea what her character is.

Also a bit vague on the lava men...

So, we open in something that looks a bit Firefly - cruddy salvage spaceships, as also seen in the likes of 42, and since it’s such a familiar idea it only needs the lightest of sketches - then quick as you can into the TARDIS, up and down corridors, into the gigantic library...

“So that’s who...”

And then on to, yes, the centre of the TARDIS...

The face-covering out-of-focus lava man was nicely creepy, a bit of Del Toro in the show’s fairytale mix like the talking smoke encyclopaedia.

Disappointed by the lack of Carrionites, but I acknowledge that that’s a rather obscure wish.

An android with compassion, a good example of the Robot trait (without Alien Appearance). Well, sort of. Odd idea all round...

A Crack! But not THE Crack!

So the TARDIS can, in theory, make just about anything... and can echo across time and space... hmm...

And I see they listened to Neil Gaiman’s DVD commentary advice!

Next week, Vastra, Jenny, Strax, Diana Rigg, Rachel Stirling, Clara back in a big Victorian frock, and apparently some red goo...
