Some iffy colourisation but otherwise nice effects - I feel sorry for the Doctors not appearing in the effects bits, though.
Although Clara in a studded leather jacket banging on glass to get the Seventh Doctor’s attention (during one of the silliest moments of his tenure) like the time Sylvester McCoy really saved Sophie Aldred was rather meta.
The Whisper Men with their rhyming couplets and eerie lack of substance are great fantasy/horror monsters. Simeon was, quite casually, the best special effect of The Invisible Man ever.
Glasgow. Teehee.

The idea of the grave - and the beautiful V’ger probe like timeline - was lovely.
Giant TARDIS was a bit much, but not to worry.

And why is the Great Intelligence so annoyed? Is this an M. Bison “but for me, it was Tuesday” thing?
Special Guest River Song, because it’s the end of an era - and the end for her too. Possibly.

And so a great secret is revealed. Just not the one advertised. (Indeed, I have yet to see anyone surprised by the Doctor’s name not being revealed.)
Unless you were spoiled on it a week or two ago, which I’m a bit annoyed I was, because the “eh, really?” to the news wasn’t nearly as fun as the “whaaaaat?!” to the reveal itself would have been.

I'm very pleased to have been able to enjoy the "whaaaaat?!" reaction. Less pleased about slogging through a not-great finale to get to it, but I really, really liked that reveal.
