The bundling-up gun is well weird. Creepy when the body rocks slightly before settling.
He’s actually showing a picture of the girl he’s going to marry! These are really pre-trope people, which makes them feel quite strange.
ALPHA CENTAURI!!!
And a hint of Holst’s Mars, The Bringer Of War in the soundtrack. As well as being apt for the obvious reasons, it links all the way back to The Quatermass Experiment, which Mark Gatiss appeared in the remake of in 2005, near the dawn of the new Who era.
