The Angels Take Manhattan. The Muppets were a lot nicer about it.

Is this a happy ending or a sad ending?
It’s an ending. That’s enough.

Behind the scenes bits, running over twenty minutes total.

Rory knows he dies and comes back a lot. Bless.

The cage elevator, the way it was shot, had me thinking Angel Heart ironically enough.

But, but, the Statue of Liberty is hollow and made of metal and always really well lit and prominent! (Which Steven Moffat cheerfully admits to in the Q&A.)

Bit of an involved plan for the Angels. If they’re so smart, why aren’t they ruling the universe?

The shifty collector and chained tortured Angel suggests an entire other episode. Admittedly, that episode is Dalek, but still...

Let’s assume the regeneration energy healing trick worked because it’s River, who gave it to him in the first place...

A win for the heroes, then a cheating win for the villains, then a happy ending (of sorts) for everybody except the Doctor...

The episode was so breakneck and the ending so almost-happy that it didn’t make me cry... the behind-the-scenes special did make me sniffle though.

Oh well, back for Christmas, with Jenna-Louise Coleman and Richard E Grant in Victorian times. In the meantime, Merlin.
