Dinosaurs On A Spaceship

Hrm. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood.

Liked the asides - Brian, Nefertiti, Tricie, the ISA - didn’t like the central conflict or the resolution. It just felt rather... off, a bum note instead of a character turn, especially in an episode that otherwise felt particularly kid-friendly. A bit where I’d ask the player “are you sure you want to do that?” And the Story Point cost for the solution must have been quite high...

(Oh well, here’s mini-Confidential. The Triceratops was lovely.)

  1. The point at which the players were suggesting they ignore the time limit and go off collecting recruits I'd remind them that if the return at a later point (the Doctor frequently is a year or two out) they'd be nothing they could do to change events.

A very bad use of the TARDIS in this story.

    1. Kind of essential to get the Ponds in, of course. (Although missing Brian would have been a shame, this could have been a Ponds-free episode quite easily.)
